We have no time machine to go back and fix our past mistakes, but if Americans can come to realize that these wars were indeed mistakes we could finally begin to change our future.

There is perhaps nothing more important to American recovery than a 100 percent countervailing of the yuan currency peg against the dollar. It is mathematically impossible for our open market economy to compete against China given the current currency imbalance.

Bill Maher really is a voice of reason in crazy times. America is the most wasteful, dogmatic, destructive, and irresponsible country on earth. We are quite likely the worst - in these categories - that has ever existed in human history.

Good showings overseas yesterday, and in overnight futures this morning, indicate at least a small early bump. The performance on the Street today could indicate where the rest of the week, and the rest of the month, is headed.
